The previous model, the Mavic Air 2, was limited to shooting 12MP photos and shooting 4K video at 60fps with data rates up to 120Mbps. The new model also implements 4x digital zoom when capturing 4K video at 30 fps.

DJI Air 2S drone supports new featureSmartPhoto, which allows you to make burst shooting with the subsequent selection of the highest quality photos. In low light conditions, Hyperlight mode is activated, and when shooting at night, the trajectory and shooting style are controlled in the automatic MasterShots mode. The FocusTrack function will allow the drone to follow the selected object or track it through the camera.

DJI Air 2S improvements have resulted ina slight increase in the weight of the drone to 595 grams, compared to the weight of 570 grams for the Mavic Air 2. As a result, the autonomous flight time decreased from 33 to 31 minutes, but at the same time increased to 12 km the distance that the drone can fly from the "owner".
