Crosscall introduced smartphones and a tablet with saltwater protection

Crosscall, though FrenchIt specializes not in design refinements, but in the production of the most brutal category of mobile equipment - for off-road use. She had not reminded her long ago of her existence, and then take and imagine as many as four protected novelties.

Crosscall's portfolio includes three new smartphones that are not scary to drop into a puddle, and one tablet with which you can safely go to the beach.

They are also not too sorry - both smartphones belong to the category close to the initial level. Crosscall Core-M4 Go may even be lower than that.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset, screen 4.95 ″ with a resolution of 480 × 960 pixels, a 3000 mAh battery - clearly not the ultimate dream. Crosscall Core-M4 has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal flash, which is more or less acceptable, but its relative Crosscall Core-M4 Go is already very poor: 1 GB of RAM and an 8 GB drive. Here, even the Android 9.0 Pie Go edition operating system does not look like an excuse.

Both smartphones have single cameras (for the better): the main 12 MP with flash and autofocus, front 2 MP.

Protection “for extreme”: dust and moisture - IP68 is a familiar standard, but saltwater protection is something new. Devices are able to withstand contact with it for half an hour. Plus 13 tests from the MIL-STD-810 suite. In particular, they promise survival when falling on any of the six sides from a height of up to two meters. The screen supports work with gloves and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Just smartphones for the sea wolf.

Crosscall Core-M4 has NFC support. A fingerprint scanner is not provided. The model will cost a solid 300 € at the start of sales.

Crosscall Core-M4 Go with its vanishingly small memory capacity is estimated at 220 €. It already looks like a robbery in broad daylight - an Android Go device. NFC support, of course, is not here.

Crosscall core-x4

The third smartphone in this company, CrosscallCore-X4, already a level higher. But it’s also not good news: Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, 3 GB of RAM, 32-gigabyte drive, 5.45-inch HD + screen are not the most impressive specifications for a smartphone, for which they ask 450 € at the start of sales.

Even though the battery is not bad - 3850 mAh - it does not break records.

But then they seriously approached the issue of choosing a camera. It is single, but 48 megapixel. Maybe this will impress someone.

Finally - the most interesting. All the same, but now for the tablet. Crosscall Core-T4 is a tough tablet for ... it's hard to say for whom. Industry / construction / extreme recreation? Or not extreme, but vice versa. Imagine a beach: sun, sea, sand ... This tablet will stand such a test.

Is such a fortune worth 500 €? Well, not a fact. Iron is average, but not too fresh. There is not much memory. The screen is mediocre, 8 ″ with a resolution of 1280 × 800, but it is possible to work with gloves and wet hands.
The battery is pretty decent - 7000 mAh. There is an NFC module.
