Chinese automaker BYD has entered into a deal with a global car rental service
by SIXT, for the delivery of 100,000 vehicles fornew energy for 6 years. The cooperation agreement provides for cooperation in promoting electrification to the rental car market. It is expected that the first deliveries under this deal should begin as early as the fourth quarter of this year. SIXT will be delivered including machines that BYD plans to start selling in the European market, for example, the Yuan Plus model. The first markets to receive BYD vehicles will be those in Germany, the UK, France and the Netherlands. SIXT does business in more than one hundred countries around the world, where it has 2,100 car rental centers. SIXT previously said it plans to replace up to 90% of its fleet with environmentally friendly vehicles by 2030.
