By 2030, up to 8% of new cars in the European market will be made in China

Chinese automakers have set their sights on the development of the European market. For the first nine months of 2022 in

Europe was sold 155,000 cars from China, whichaccounted for 1.4% of the total European market for new cars during this period. Almost half of this number were electric vehicles, thus, the share of Chinese manufacturers in the segment of electric vehicles was 5.8%. According to experts from Inovev, in the near future, all Chinese cars sold in Europe will be only electric cars. It is expected that by 2030 in the European market up to 40% of new cars will be sold in the segment of electric cars, and at the same time from 12% to 20% of them will be from the Chinese auto industry. The volume of sales of Chinese electric cars may grow by this time to 725,000 - 1,160,000 cars. And such a forecast is conservative, and in fact the market growth may be even faster.
