By 2025, a quarter of the production of iPhone smartphones will be located in India

JPMorgan analysts predict that by 2025, a quarter of iPhone smartphone production will be located in India. Apple

trying to diversifyproduction chains and reduce its dependence on production located in mainland China. This comes amid growing geopolitical risks and ongoing anti-COVID restrictions in China, which are negatively affecting the production of Apple suppliers. By the end of this year, up to 5% of the total iPhone 14 production will be located in India. India is the second largest market in the world in terms of smartphones sold after China, and Apple is betting heavily on the development of production in this country. Apple first started manufacturing in India in 2017 with a collaboration with Wistron. Later, Foxconn and Pegatron joined the plans to move production to India.
