Buyer's guide. Comparison of all Xiaomi 13 series smartphones

Last year, a similar material was published for the 12th series of Xiaomi devices.

Buyer's guide. Comparison of all
Xiaomi 12 series smartphones

We understand the intricacies of the Xiaomi 12 line: the real experience of using the 12 Pro, 12, 12x and 12 Lite models

Then the Chinese company had as many as 4 gadgets. Moreover, one is intermediate and not quite intelligible for me. I'm talking about Xiaomi 12X.

This year there is no such strange positioning. Against:

  • Xiaomi 13 Pro is the flagship model in almost all respects.
  • Xiaomi 13 is a compact flagship model. It is slightly easier than the Pro version, but not much inferior. But it's more convenient.
  • Xiaomi 13 Lite. Simplified version.

The most interesting thing is that these devices are completelydifferent in terms of appearance. For example, 13 Pro is a classic “sleek” smartphone, model 13 is made in the style of Apple, and 13 Lite is a typical mid-budget device, reminiscent of the 12th Xiaomi line.

As for the cost, prices have not changed so much in 2023:

Xiaomi 13 Pro Xiaomi 13 Xiaomi 13 Lite
100 000 rubles 70 000 rubles 40 000 rubles

I take the cost in the Russian Federation, which is indicated on the official channels. But you can focus on Avito or AliExpress. There devices are sold cheaper:

Xiaomi 13 Pro Xiaomi 13 Xiaomi 13 Lite
75 000 rubles 60 000 rubles 28 000 rubles

By the way, the devices of 2022 fell in price by literally 10% -15%.

Design

Smartphones Xiaomi 13 Pro and 13 Lite, no matter howstrange, can be combined into one group. I call such devices “licked”, that is, their panels on both sides are as sloping as possible, almost Waterfall. I do not like this style, which I have repeatedly written about.

The main disadvantages are false positives of the screen, the inconvenience of lifting from a flat surface, a slippery body, the system interface creeping into the corners of sloping edges.

Smartphone Xiaomi 13 is a device like with anotherplanets: even, flat, comfortable, compact, non-slip, with symmetrical screen frames. Just a fairy tale. While there is still an opportunity - I use this particular model on an ongoing basis. For me, the decisive point today is ergonomics, not technical performance. The latter are quite adequate at the cost of the device from about 20,000 rubles. There are already screens with a high “hertz”, and fast processors, and enough memory, and cameras are not shameful, and batteries are normal with fast charges.

Therefore, in this case, I am all hands and feet for the Xiaomi 13 model.

Of note: the front panel of Xiaomi 13 Pro is protected by CGG Victus glass, but the back side is made of bioceramic material. What is called - added bonuses.

  • The Xiaomi 13 device has a metal frame, a glass back panel.
  • The Xiaomi 13 Lite device has a plastic frame, a glass back panel.

Vibration

In Xiaomi 13 Pro, it is the most powerful in terms of strength and capabilities. Yes, it turns out that there are also different vibration variations depending on certain manipulations with the apparatus.

In Xiaomi 13 and 13 Lite, the vibration is approximately the same in all respects. Probably purely subjective, in 13 Lite the return is slightly weaker.

On the side of Xiaomi 13 Pro, of course, there is a high resolution, a screen refresh rate of 1 Hz and a maximum brightness higher than other models. But the PWM is terrible.

Xiaomi 13 Lite is slightly better with PWM. Therefore, if you are confused about this, then I recommend the Lite version.

Xiaomi 13 has the optimal parameters. Here the brightness is high, and there is almost no PWM, and the screen is flat.

There is no big difference in the operating time of the devices. On average, smartphones show about 5 hours of screen glow at automatic brightness. Of the advantages of Xiaomi 13 Pro is very fast charging. Of the minuses of Xiaomi 13 Lite is the lack of wireless charging.

Devices work with a cellular network in approximately the same way. There are no obvious shortcomings. Xiaomi 13 Pro has 5G N79 support. Probably a plus.

Despite the presence of Wi-Fi 6 in all devices, only 13 Pro shows the maximum speed.

Therefore, the conclusions here are very simple: you need all possible communication parameters at high speeds - then you need 13 Pro.

Televik 4K 60 fps and below 1080p 30/60 fps
Selfie 1080p 30 fps 1080p 60 fps

It would seem that everything is very simple. But when you start to analyze in detail each module in smartphones, it turns out that resolutions, sensors, frame rates are different.

Note that the “widths” in Xiaomi 13 Pro and 13 are different, so the latter cannot write 4K 60 k1080p 30 fps. It's a shame, because the processors are the same.

As for the quality of photos, the leaderis Xiaomi 13 Pro. Its 1-inch sensor is simply mighty. Maybe she lacks sharpness, but everything else is super. Here you have a wide dynamic range, and natural bokeh with beautiful blur, and excellent aperture.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Lite cameras are almost the same. Model 13 has a slightly higher edge sharpness.

The viewing angle of the "width" is larger in the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Despite approximately the same detail, it produces frames with a large DR, fewer artifacts.

In general, unless you need specificcamera characteristics, then Xiaomi 13 Lite is enough for the eyes. On Xiaomi 13 Pro it is nice to take portraits, shots from a relatively close distance. And the Xiaomi 13 sensors are universal.

If you do not pay attention to the tests, then Xiaomi 13 Pro, 13 Lite and 13 behave about the same in normal use.

In Xiaomi 13 Pro, it is felt that they “let go of the horses” with productive tasks: the device heats up, but almost does not throttle. At the same time, Xiaomi 13 almost does not heat up, but notably throttling.

It is clear that the system on a chip in 13 Pro and 13 is currently the most advanced. Therefore, if you need maximum speed, then the Lite version will not suit you.

If we are talking about sound delivery, then it is more powerful indevice Xiaomi 13 Pro. Xiaomi 13 Lite has one speaker, and it plays very simply and quietly. Xiaomi 13 has optimal parameters: here the volume is good and the low frequencies are better.

Impression

I don't know about you, but I really liked Xiaomi13. It is optimal in all respects, including in terms of cost. It can be found from 60,000 rubles. At the same time, he will give you absolutely all the possible chips of a modern device.

Choosing Xiaomi 13 Pro is only because ofthe main camera, which beautifully "draws" bokeh, it has an excellent dynamic range. In addition, 13 Pro can write 4K 60 fps on all cameras except selfies. The presence of N79, a slightly higher Wi-Fi speed is not important. The high screen resolution is cool, but it’s almost impossible to distinguish 500 PPI from 400 PPI by eye. Well, a smartphone costs from 75,000 rubles.

Device 13 Lite - for those who missedlast year Xiaomi 12 Lite. For plus or minus 30,000 rubles, you get quite a nice and pretty gadget. Of the minuses: one speaker, weaker video capabilities, a little less work.

I'm waiting for you in the comments: what kind of smartphone do you think is interesting?
