At the TechCrunch Dedicated EventRobotics, founder of Boston Dynamics, Mark Rybert announced Friday that his robot dog SpotMini is already in the “pre-production” stage. The company will begin selling robots in 2019. It is not yet clear who can buy them and for how much.
"SpotMini in pre-production now",stated ribert. “We made 10 designs that are close to the production option. We built them [behind the scenes], but with the help of people contractors / manufacturers. ”
The SpotMini dog can go upstairs andway down. The first version of SpotMini went, rolled and even placed items in the dishwasher. Last year it was updated and now it can walk on its own using autonomous navigation. Earlier this year, Boston Dynamics released a video in which SpotMini opens the door for another robot.
Also at the beginning of the year, there was a photo of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, strolling with one of the Boston Dynamics robot dogs.
