Avatarify filter transforms the user's face into the image of any celebrity (video)


Video conferencing applications such as Zoom andSkype is usually boring and often tiring users. In conditions of self-isolation, more and more people are using this software to work from home, and users are finding new ways to liven up endless remote meetings and group meetings.

New Avatarify App SupportingDeepFake allows users to "try on" the image of any famous person in real time. These can be the faces of real people, such as Elon Musk, and the artistic images of Mona Lisa or the faces of people who have left our world. The application comes open source and can be obtained on the Github service for free.

At the demo video conference usedthe face of Ilon Mask, allegedly accidentally joining an event in the Zoom application. Upon a detailed examination, the imitation is easily revealed, however, the effect of the unexpectedness of a meeting with a famous person can easily mislead the participants of the conference.


Participant of the meeting, programmer Ali Aliyev,“Tried on” the face of Mask, used the open source software First Order Motion, created by a group of Italian developers in partnership with Snap Inc.

The prototype mask process took justseveral hours, which allowed the programmer to play his partners with whom he holds daily video meetings at the beginning of the week. The draw was a success, and in the future, experts continued to test the application.
