ASUS ZenFone 6 - the flagship with a unique design (12 photos + video)


While some manufacturers are trying to install intheir smartphones use as many lenses as possible for the main and front cameras, others are experimenting with periscopic and inverting modules. If the device inadvertently falls out of the hands from a height of 1-1.25 m, the unit in emergency mode will either turn itself to a safe angle for the structure, or completely hide in the case. In normal condition, the camera of the smartphone is located on the back side.


The camera itself consists of two sensors. The main one is the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 (1 / 2.0 ″, f / 1.79 aperture, pixel size of 0.8 μm or 1.6 μm with insufficient illumination of the scene). Additional module - OmniVision sensor with 13 megapixel resolution and wide-angle optics with a viewing angle of 125 °. Optical stabilization is absent due to the size of the module, but the camera is available: laser autofocus, HDR + mode, two-time software zoom. There is a dual LED backlight, Super Night mode for night shooting video at 4K @ 60fps.


IPS-display 6.4 inches occupies 92% of the total surface of the front surface of the smartphone and has a resolution of Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5: 9 aspect ratio) without any cuts. The fingerprint scanner, in the old-fashioned way, is placed on the back panel, and the earpiece in a thin upper frame. The heart of the device has become a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 top-end 7-nm chip with 6, 8 or 12 GB of operational LPDDR4X and 64, 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal UFS 2.1 flash memory. The combined slot allows you to install a second SIM card or microSD memory card with a capacity of up to 2 TB.


ASUS ZenFone 6 with dimensions of 159.1 x 75.44 x 8.4 mm and weighing 190 grams received a 5000 mAh battery with support for quick charging Quick Charge 4.0 (18 W) and reverse, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless communication modules, 4G LTE support, NFC module, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Dual NXP TFA9874 audio amplifier and high-quality stereo speakers. The case of the smartphone on both sides is covered with protective glass panels Gorilla Glass 6 and fastened with an aluminum frame. The operating system is Android 9.0 Pie with the proprietary shell ZenUI 6.


Preorders for ZenFone 6 will start in the corporatestore ASUS Shop from 23 May. The basic version 6/64 GB will be sold for 39,990 rubles, the variant with 8/256 GB of memory will receive a price tag of 42,990 rubles, and configurations with 8/256 GB and 12/512 GB will cost 49,990 and 69,990 rubles, respectively.
