Apple virtual reality helmet presentation date revealed

JP Morgan Research Services and Expert MarkThe Bloomberg foodie independently came to the general conclusion that Apple's virtual reality (VR) headset would launch in early 2022. Apple's VR headset will be the “most expensive device” on the market, such as Facebook's Oculus, Sony's PlayStation VR and HTC's headset.

JP Morgan experts note that technicalthe design of Apple's VR equipment will be close to the design of other brands and its main components will be six lenses, LiDAR and a Time-of-flight camera, which forms a long-range portrait of the world around.

Most of Apple's VR headset components will startmanufactured in the fourth quarter of 2021 by seven Taiwanese manufacturers, including TSMC (processors), Largan and Genius Electronic Optical will produce the camera lenses, and Pegatron will be responsible for assembly.

JP Morgan thinks Apple's VR headset willis aimed at the upper segment of the consumer market, and prices will be "more expensive than VR headsets currently on the market." At the same time, analysts note that the cost of components itself may exceed $ 500. This estimate is in line with a Bloomberg analysis that "predicted" Apple's VR hardware at prices well above competing devices. For example, Facebook's Oculus Quest 2 sells for $ 350.

Also, JP Morgan revealed the estimated timeApple's augmented reality (AR) glasses hit the market. According to analysts "due to technical requirements for industrial design and complexities in the supply chain," Apple's AR should be expected in the market in the next 12-18 months.
