Apple managed to become the only supplier with positive growth dynamics in the third quarter
According to research firm Counterpoint, the smartphone market remains under high pressure due to
deteriorating economic conditions, politicaltensions and rising inflation. The positions of the premium segment of smartphones are less subject to this pressure, which is demonstrated by the successful sales of smartphones from the iPhone line and Samsung flexible smartphones. With the successful sales of the iPhone 14, Apple managed to become the only supplier with a positive growth rate of 2%, which helped Apple increase its market share by 2% to 16%. Global smartphone shipments totaled 301 million units, down 12% from last year, the lowest third-quarter sales since 2014. The result of sales of the last quarter also turned out to be lower than the results of the second quarter by 2%, continuing the negative trend.
