Xiaomi Civi 1S smartphone announced in China. As for me, we have a classic purely symbolic update of last year's Xiaomi Civi model. We replaced the chipset with a slightly more powerful one and updated the software. In fact, they added an eighth blade to a razor with seven blades. Everything… Oh no. Also increased in size. The height has grown from 158.34 mm to 158.35. Now that's all for sure. Even the appearance and set of colors left exactly the same.
Xiaomi Civi 1S, like its ancestor, is a typical modern mid-range smartphone. Very good in terms of features. And yet it is thin, light and designer.
Slightly less than seven millimeters in thickness, 166 grams in weight. No, not a record. But by modern standards, the indicators are very good. Moreover, the screen is rather big and the battery is normal.
About the rest of the characteristics.
There was a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, it became a chipsetQualcomm Snapdragon 778G+. There are almost no statistics on the “plus”, and smartphones on the original 778G score 500-550 thousand points in AnTuTu. Typical "semi-flagship" level.
8 or 12 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of permanent. There is no support for memory cards.
Screen. 6.55″ (104cm²) OLED matrix with refresh rate up to 120Hz. The resolution is habitually high, 1080×2400 (402 ppi). The fingerprint scanner, unfortunately, was built into the screen.
Medium battery, 4500 mAh. Charging is fast, but not record-breaking, 55 W.
Let's assign the cameras as the weak link.Although, of course, the front camera with a resolution of 32 MP, and even with autofocus, inspires respect. Do you happen to know if the pink color and the super front camera are stones in the garden of the same audience or different ones?
And the rear set is a standard trio. 64+8+2 MP.Main module, wide-angle, macro. There is no optical stabilization. In the main camera, Samsung ISOCELL GW3 is most likely used as a sensor. Not the newest, focused on mid-range devices.
There is support for 5G networks, there is an NFC module, the sixth Wi-Fi. There is no standard audio output.
The prices are quite humane.¥2299 (₽27600, $358), ¥2599 (₽31200, $405) and ¥2899 (₽34800, $452) for the 8+128, 8+256 and 12+256 GB versions respectively. Curiously, the ancestor of Xiaomi Civi now costs exactly the same in China. Well, at least in the official online store.
