Announcement. Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge for India - super fast charging and superchaos

Xiaomi continues to wreak havoc and confuse the brains of poor journalists.

A couple of smartphones are presented in India, which we will call Xiaomi 11i India and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge.

We unravel.

1. Xiaomi 11i India has nothing to do with the global device Xiaomi Mi 11i, which is sold in India under the name Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, and in China called Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro +.

2. Xiaomi 11i India is sold in China under the name Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.

3. Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is sold in China under the name Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G.

In short, the devices are nothing new. So the following news text, in fact, will be a slightly revised text of the October news about the Redmi Note 11 Pro series.

Smartphones are almost identical. In fact, the difference is only in the batteries. The older device has a smaller one, 4500 mAh versus 5160 mAh for the younger one, but it is equipped with faster charging - 120 W versus 67 W. So Hypercharge charges from zero to one hundred percent in just 15 minutes. And, of course, it costs a little more. A strange decision, in my opinion. Are you willing to pay more for a smaller battery, provided it charges a few minutes faster? Me not. But marketers probably know better.

To the chipset. MediaTek Dimensity 920. AnTuTu scores just under half a million points. A solid middle class without pretensions to too much.

The memory is fine.6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage. The Chinese Redmi Note 11 Pro series also has variants with 256GB of storage, but for Indians, there will not be such a luxury yet. You can put a memory card, but the tray is hybrid.

Big cool screens. AMOLED matrices with a diagonal of 6.67 ″, a resolution of 1080 × 2400 (395 ppi). The refresh rate is up to 120 Hz.

The cameras are typical of the middle class. Front cameras have a resolution of 16 MP. On the back side there is a trio 108 + 8 + 2 MP. The main module is Samsung HM2. Plus a wide-angle camera, plus a macro camera.

There is support for 5G networks, sixth Wi-Fi, Type-C and even normal audio output. The fingerprint scanner is correct, lateral. Apparently, there is no NFC-module (the “Chinese” had it).

And about the cost. The following prices are officially announced:

  • Xiaomi 11i India - ₹ 24,999 (₽25,000, $ 336) and ₹ 26,999 (₽27,000, $ 363) for versions 6 + 128 and 8 + 128.
  • Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge - ₹ 26,999 (₽27,000, $ 363) and ₹ 28,999 (₽29,000, $ 390) for the same versions.
