Announcement. Vivo Y55 5G is a mid-range smartphone for Taiwan

In Taiwan, another mid-range smartphone has appeared on sale. It is called Vivo Y55 5G. Let's get acquainted.

First, as usual, about relatives.

The newcomer is very similar to the one sold there onTaiwan Vivo Y52 5G (announced last summer). Another main camera (48 MP instead of 50 MP), different design (colors, camera unit). There don't seem to be any other differences. Even the price at the time of the start of sales is the same for them.

Another close device is the Vivo Y55s 5G announced in December in China. He, however, has a 20% larger battery. And there is no one of the auxiliary cameras. Everything else is symmetrical.

Chipset MediaTek Dimensity 700. A little more - and the number of smartphones on this chip in our catalog will reach fifty. Performance is average. We are waiting for 300-350 thousand points in AnTuTu.

Not too much RAM, only 4 GB. But 128 GB of permanent memory. Support for memory cards is available.

Screen without increased refresh rate. But big, 6.58 ″. IPS matrix. The resolution is high, 1080 × 2408 (401 ppi).

The battery is normal, 5000 mAh. Slightly accelerated charging - 18 watts.

A simple familiar set of cameras. Front camera with a resolution of 8 MP. Behind is a trio of a 50 MP main module, a symbolic macro camera and a depth sensor.

There is an NFC module. There is also support for all the LTE bands we need. Plus a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, Type-C, a gyroscope… All good.

And about money. Vivo Y55 5G will cost NT$7990 at first (₽21600, $285).
