Announcement. Vivo Y31s 5G - the first smartphone on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset

In distant China, the Vivo Y31s smartphone was announced. If I'm not mistaken, this is the world's first smartphone on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset presented the other day.

In fact, Vivo Y31s is a copy of the Decembersmartphone Vivo Y52s, only the camera is weaker, but the chipset is different. Vivo Y52s is built on a very solid MediaTek Dimensity 720 chip (under three hundred thousand AnTuTu points).

What about the performance of the Snapdragon 480, meit is not yet clear. Formally, the chipset belongs to the younger line. In fact, there is a suspicion that the power will be more like that of the modern middle class.

No NFC, no gyroscope. Of the LTE bands we are interested in, Band 7 and Band 20 are missing.

I cannot call the price humane.¥ 1,698 (₽19,200, $ 260) at launch. Most likely, the Vivo Y31s will be available on AliExpress any day. But without NFC, without our frequencies and with such weak cameras, it is unlikely that it is of any interest to you and me.
