In January, you released a smartphone and called it VivoY31s 5G. Now you are releasing a completely different smartphone and call it Vivo Y31s 标准 版 5G, i.e. Vivo Y31s 5G Standard Edition, if the translators don't lie. And - no, they don't lie. If you look at the page address on the official website, then you can see http://www.vivo.com.cn/vivo/y31snormal/. Normal, Standard Edition are essentially the same thing.

And if the new smartphone is the “Standard Version”, then what will we call the old one? “Custom Version”?

The standard and custom versions have similarities. Appearance, battery, cameras. But the chipset is different and the screens are very different. So not twins never, no. Not even brothers.

Back to the Vivo Y31s 5G Standard Edition. Costs moderately, ¥ 1,699 (₽19,300, $ 263) for the only 6 + 128GB variant available. Whether there is support for memory cards is unclear. Perhaps not.

Chipset MediaTek Dimensity 700. It has already released three smartphones, but there is still no reliable information on performance. I expect around three hundred thousand points in AnTuTu.

An unexpectedly modest screen. The resolution is only 720 × 1600, which gives 270 ppi with a 6.51 ″ diagonal. Actually, at such a price, it would be nice to have FullHD already.

The battery is great. 5000 mAh. Moderately fast charging - 18W (included with the device).

The cameras are even more modest than the screen. Front camera 8 MP. On the back there is a double module 13 + 2 MP.

Side fingerprint scanner. There is no NFC module.

There is support for 5G networks of little interest to us. But with LTE everything is worse - there is no Band 7 or Band 20.

Most likely, the other day Vivo Y31s 5G Standard Edition will appear on AliExpress. But it is hardly worth considering it as a candidate for purchase.
