Announcement. Vivo Y21t India is not Vivo Y21t Indonesia

Well, Happy New Year, New Confusion! The last smartphone of 2021 in the catalog of our site was Vivo Y21t Indonesia, which I then (December 31) called simply “Vivo Y21t”. And the first smartphone of the year 2022 was the Vivo Y21t India. Which, as you might have guessed, is slightly different.

In fact, smartphones are very close.Almost identical. Well, the amount of RAM is different. But for the sake of such a trifle, I would not make a separate card for an Indian smartphone in the catalog. But damn it, they have different screens! The "Indonesian" has the simplest screen. 6.51 ″ HD + matrix (720 × 1600 resolution, 270 ppi). And the “Indian” has a decent screen. And even a little more - 6.58 ″. Higher resolution, 1080 × 2408 (401 ppi). And the refresh rate is 90Hz instead of the standard 60Hz. Curiously, despite the different screens, smartphones have exactly the same dimensions and weight. Well, according to the official figures, of course.

The rest of the performance characteristics, I repeat, are identical.

The chipset is a brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 680. So brand new that I still don't have statistics on it.
Presumably, this chip is a variation ontheme Snapdragon 662 / Snapdragon 665. Only transferred to more modern technical process (6 nm instead of 11 nm). Vivo compares the 680 chipset with the Snapdragon 662. And promises to increase 25% and 10% in processor cores and graphics, respectively. So in AnTuTu we are expecting somewhere in the region of 250-300 points, no more.

Memory. Operational - only 4 GB (versus 6 GB for the "Indonesian"). 128 GB of permanent memory. There is support for memory cards (separate tray).

The battery is great. Standard 5000mAh. Slightly fast charging - 18W.

The set of cameras is not powerful. The front one has a resolution of 8 MP. Behind is a trio of 50 + 2 + 2 MP from the main camera, macromodule and depth sensor.

NFC is missing, standard audio output is present. Type-C and dual band Wi-Fi in place.

The set of supported LTE frequencies is extremely scarce. There is no 7th or 20th band.

The price at the start of sales is quite humane, only ₹ 16,490 (₽16,500, $ 222).

(For comparison, the Vivo Y21t Indonesia with a couple of extra gigabytes of RAM costs IDR 3,099,000 (₽16,000, $ 216)).
