Announcement. Tecno Camon 18T is a mid-range smartphone with a powerful front camera

In Pakistan, a smartphone appeared on sale undernamed Tecno Camon 18T. In general, the Camon 18 series is positioned by Tecno as photographic. The flagship Tecno Camon 18 Premier has very sophisticated cameras. There is a TV set and a super-advanced stabilization system. The Tecno Camon 18T has none of this. But he suddenly has a front-facing camera with a resolution of as much as 48 MP and with a dual flash (whether the camera has autofocus is not reported).

In fact, if you forget about this frontalcamera, then we have before us a large, but very modest modern smartphone. In terms of most of its characteristics and appearance, it is identical to the progenitor of the series, a device named Tecno Camon 18. Only that front camera is simpler. But, however, the progenitor has an NFC module and an increased screen refresh rate. And our hero, apparently, is deprived of these buns. The increased frequency is certainly deprived, because the chipset does not support it. (Yes, the chipsets are slightly different). Well, there is simply no mention of NFC. It is possible that if suddenly a smartphone appears in other countries (for example, in our country), then NFC may magically appear in it.

Briefly about the characteristics.

Last year's MediaTek Helio G85 chipset.It does not differ in special power. We are waiting for 200-250 thousand points in AnTuTu. (Tecno Camon 18 uses the Helio G88 chipset, it differs in that it supports more serious cameras and screens, but there are no differences in "performance", the same cores, the same GPU, and so on).

4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage. There is support for memory cards (separate tray).

The screen is large, 6.8 ″. Standard IPS-matrix with a small round cutout. The resolution is high, 1080 × 2460 (395 ppi). The refresh rate of the screen is only the standard 60 Hz.

Nice big battery - 5000 mAh. The charging speed is high, but still not very good - 18 watts.

The set of rear cameras is simple and modest - 48 + 2 + 2 MP (main, macro, depth sensor).

Side fingerprint scanner. Type-C and dual band Wi-Fi are available.

In Pakistani online stores, prices start at 26,499 local rupees, which is roughly ₽11200 ($ 149).
