TCL introduced a number of smartphones yesterday.I combine TCL 30, TCL 30+ and TCL 30 5G into one news, because they are exactly the same in appearance. Yes, they are identical in many respects. Screens, batteries are the same. Even the camera sets are very close.
Differences? As you might guess, TCL 30 5G has support for 5G networks. And in general, I would call this device quite a reasonable representative of the middle class. And TCL 30 and TCL 30+, rather, can be attributed to the number of state employees. But look at the prices though. But they are not that far apart...
Everything in order.
In TCL 30 5G, they put a quite reasonable mid-level chipset MediaTek Dimensity 700. Smartphones based on this chip on average gain 300-350 thousand points in AnTuTu.
And in TCL 30 and TCL 30+ they put a fresh, but extremelyweak MediaTek Helio G37 chipset. There are very few statistics on it. But it is hardly worth waiting for much more than a hundred thousand points in the same AnTuTu. By modern standards, this is very, very little.
Memory. All three smartphones will be released with 4 GB of RAM. Which is not bad by the standards of state employees, but rather weak by the standards of mid-range smartphones. The younger device TCL 30 has 64 GB of permanent memory, the TCL 30+ already has 128 GB. Well, TCL 30 5G is promised to be released in two varieties - exactly the same 64 or 128 GB.
The screens, judging by the descriptions, are the same for all three smartphones. 6.7″ AMOLED matrices. High resolution 1080×2400 (393 ppi). There is no increased refresh rate, only the standard 60 Hz.
Batteries are also parity. An impressive capacity of 5010 mAh. Slightly accelerated charging at 18W.
The front cameras are different. The TCL 30 has an unassuming 8MP sensor with a 78° field of view. The other two smartphones have a much wider angle, as much as 96 °. And the resolution is higher, 13 MP.
Smartphones have three rear cameras. The number of megapixels is identical, 50 + 2 + 2 MP. Main camera, macro, depth sensor. Most likely, all three devices use Samsung ISOCELL JN1 as the main sensor; the simplest and most popular sensor of this resolution.
All three smartphones are equipped with an NFC module and a side fingerprint scanner. Dual-band Wi-Fi is only available on the TCL 30 5G.
TCL 30, TCL 30+ should appear in Europe just about (or even have already appeared). The price is from €179 (₽16,800, $201) and from €199 (₽18,600, $223), respectively.
TCL 30 5G will reach the shelves only in April. From €249 (₽23300, $279) at the start of sales.
