Just a few days ago, I caught my ear in a conversation in which it sounded that this kind of thing is very respected in Asia. Like, they love there when everything is gold-rich.
Samsung W22, freshly announced in the Celestial Empire, is one of those. A kind of special version of the Galaxy Z Fold3 tablet smartphone (which is also sold in China).
There are few differences visible to the naked eye.
1. Added "gold". Compare the looks and guess who is on the left and who is on the right.
2. Slightly more weight. 288 grams. It was 17 grams lighter. The gold paint is probably heavy.
3. Added RAM. She, by and large, and in the Galaxy Z Fold3 had a completely indecent amount, 12 GB. Well, it became generally 16 GB. Like a solid laptop.
4. Price. Grew up, of course.Samsung W22 will cost ¥ 16,999 (₽189,000, $ 2,630) for the only available 16 + 512 GB version. For comparison, the older version of the Galaxy Z Fold3 (12 + 512 GB) costs ¥ 14,999 (₽167,000, $ 2,320) in China.
I don't see any more differences.
Next - a retelling of the August news about the Galaxy Z Fold3 with a listing of the main features and characteristics.
Before us is a two-in-one device with a flexible screen. We bent the screen - we got a very narrow smartphone. We unbent the screen - we got a small tablet.
There is protection against moisture according to the class IPX8. Those. full immersion to a depth of one and a half meters for a period of up to 30 minutes is permissible. What is non-trivial, it does not promise dust protection.
Another interesting feature is the frontalcameras. There are two of them. One works in a “tablet” screen, the other in an external “smartphone”. The front camera for the internal screen is made subscreen. Its resolution is modest, 4 MP.
The rest of the camera set appears to be smoothcarried over from the ancestor Galaxy Z Fold2 without significant changes. The front camera in the external screen has a resolution of 10 MP. There are three rear cameras. 12 + 12 + 12 MP set, classic for Samsung. The main module, wide-angle, two-fold telephoto (the first and third modules are with optical image stabilization).
Screens. Both have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X matrix. The larger is accordingly flexible. The smaller one is traditional. Both have a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The larger screen has a diagonal of 7.6 ″ at a resolution of 1768 × 2208 (372 ppi) - i.e. almost square (11: 9). The smaller one is classic elongated, 6.2 ″, 832 × 2268 (390 ppi). Here the aspect ratio is 24.5: 1.
The interesting thing is done.Otherwise, we have a classic modern flagship. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset (eight hundred thousand points in the ninth AnTuTu), 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of permanent memory (no memory card support). Typical 4400 mAh battery. Fast charging is fast but not insane at 25W. Plus there's 10W wireless charging.
Other. 5G, NFC, sixth Wi-Fi, barometer, side fingerprint scanner.
