Announcement. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8+ and S8 Ultra are flagship tablets

How imperceptibly time flies.It turns out that exactly one and a half years have passed since the release of the previous flagship tablets from Samsung. Then, in the summer of 2020, two tablets were announced. Galaxy Tab S7 with a screen diagonal of 11″ and a slightly larger Galaxy Tab S7 + - 12.4″.

There are already three in the current line of tablets.The Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8+ are the same size as their predecessors. Plus, they added a giant Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with a screen like a large laptop – 14.6″.

With iron, everything is simple and clear. No dark horses, no Exynos. Only the most powerful of Snapdragons is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. So we are waiting for about a million parrots in AnTuTu.

There is a lot of memory.The operative for younger tablets is 8 GB each (in some markets it will be 12 GB each, but not with us). Ultra has up to 16 GB. The younger ones have 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory. The Ultra also has a 512GB version. Unlike flagship smartphones, Samsung's flagship tablets support memory cards. (Eh. It would be better vice versa).

Batteries are capacious. The charging speed is high - 45 watts. Charging will have to be purchased separately, it is not included in the standard package.

I already talked about screen sizes. All resolutions are high. Refresh rate too, up to 120Hz. It is curious that they did not install an AMOLED matrix in the youngest of the tablets.

Why tablets need wide-angle camerashas always been a mystery to me. You almost never use the main rear ones. But nonetheless. Behind all the tablets is a dual camera, 13 + 6 MP. The front cameras all have a resolution of 12 MP. Ultra and only Ultra also have an additional wide-angle front camera, also 12 MP.

What else is interesting.Four speakers from AKG, three microphones. Sixth wifi. Where the screen is AMOLED, there are fingerprint scanners built into the screen. In the youngest of the tablets, the scanner was combined with the power button.

A stylus is included as standard. At the time of pre-order, they give a keyboard case as a gift.

The Ultra only comes in one dark, boring colorway. The younger tablets have more colors, three each.

Prices are expected to bite. From ₽64,990 ($869) to invigorating ₽149,990 ($2010).
