Announcement. Samsung Galaxy M31s with a huge battery

The Samsung Galaxy M31s smartphone is a direct heir to the Samsung Galaxy M31 smartphone released in spring.

As with the M31, the initial announcement took place in India. So there is a rather big chance that, following the path of its ancestor, M31s will reach other markets, including Russia and Ukraine.

As for me, so Samsung Galaxy M31s and SamsungThe Galaxy M31s are too close to each other. Why keep both on the market at the same time? Or maybe the life path of M31 is already over? Will they sell the leftovers and that's it? We'll see.

Smartphones have the same chipset. Exynos 7 Series 9611. Fresh and not very powerful. We are waiting for about 150-200 thousand AnTuTu points.

Memory. 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of constant, there is support for memory cards. The M31 also had a variant with 64 GB of permanent memory, but then it was abandoned.

The screen has changed. There was a U-shaped AMOLED, it also became AMOLED, but O-shaped, i.e. with a round hole for the front camera. The size has grown by one tenth of an inch, now it is 6.5 ″. The exact resolution has not yet been reported. FHD +, i.e. will be somewhere around 400 ppi.

Although the screen is AMOLED, the fingerprint scanner on both devices is normal, not under the screen. The place has changed, by the way. Now this is not a back cover, but a side face. Well, good.

The battery remains as huge aswas - 6000 mAh. It is unlikely that such smartphones will need to be charged more often than once every two days. But fast charging has become much faster - 25 W versus 15 W for the ancestor.

Front-camera. No changes are visible here. As it was 32 MP, it remained.

Rear cameras four pieces, 64 + 12 + 5 + 5 MP(main, wide-angle, macro, depth sensor). The M31 has a similar set, only the wide-angle camera is more modest, only 8 MP. But this is a trifle. Another thing is more interesting. The Samsung Galaxy M31s has a brand-new Sony IMX682 sensor as the main photo module. What was in the M31 I couldn't find outright, but, it seems, some kind of my own sensor. So we are waiting for some of the Indian reviewers to make a photo duel. It might be interesting.

The smartphone will be on sale in the coming days onIndian Amazon. ₹ 19499 (₽19100, $ 261) for 6 + 128 GB and ₹ 21499 (₽21100, $ 287) for 8 + 128 GB. For comparison, the Galaxy M31 costs ₹ 18,499 (₽18,100, $ 247) in India for the 6 + 128 GB version, i.e. the price difference is minimal. The official Russian price for the same version of the M31 is ₽19990 ($ 272), but there are good discounts, as now in Svyaznoy, for example. ₽17,990 ($ 245) for all the fun.
