Announcement. Redmi 9a Sport Jio is the year before last budget smartphone for India

Marketers continue their leisurely battle with common sense. A smartphone called Redmi 9a Sport Jio has been spotted on the Indian official website of Xiaomi.

If I understand correctly, we have a reissuelast year's Redmi 9a Sport (which, in turn, is almost the same as the year before last Redmi 9A). And, as the name implies, this is an exclusive for the Indian operator Jio.

However, there are still some differences between Redmi 9a Sport Jio and Redmi 9a Sport. Unless, of course, these are real differences, and not typographical errors.

• Jio supports 18W fast charging, which its ancestor lacks (but you have to buy a fast charger separately).
• Jio operates in more LTE bands, including all “ours” (including the seventh and twentieth).
• Suddenly, Jio has a weaker version of Bluetooth - 4.2 (against 5.0 in its ancestor).

The Redmi 9a Sport Jio will cost ₹7499 (₽5640, $93.9) at launch.
