Announcement. OPPO A16e - single cameras and Micro-USB for India

A clearly inexpensive smartphone called OPPO A16e has been announced in India. Information about the cost is true so far something is nowhere to be seen, but it definitely won’t be expensive.

OPPO A16e is very similar to the “namesake” OPPO A16K sold in other countries (announced in November last year). Only the chipset is different. Slightly different.

If the A16K has a low-power, but relativelyfresh MediaTek Helio G35, then an older and slightly slower MediaTek Helio P22 2018 was installed in the newcomer. (In fact, these chipsets are extremely close in their characteristics, only the G35 has higher frequencies). In short, in AnTuTu we are waiting for around one hundred thousand points.

Memory. 3 or 4 GB operational, 32 or 64 GB permanent. Support for memory cards, of course, is.

A modest 6.52″ (103 cm²) screen with a resolution of 720 × 1600 (269 ppi) and no increased refresh rate. Not very capacious 4230 mAh battery without fast charging. Single cameras 13 / 5 MP.

No fingerprint scanner, no Type-C and no gyroscope. There is no point in stuttering about NFC. But, it seems, there is dual-band Wi-Fi.

There is no support for “our” LTE frequencies. Well, yes, and the appearance of OPPO A16e in our country is unlikely.
