Announcement. OnePlus 10R is the upper mid-range take for India

The OnePlus 10R smartphone was announced in India.

By and large, we did not see anything new.BBK Corporation continues the parade of duplicates. The OnePlus 10R is an almost exact replica of the Realme GT Neo3 smartphone announced in China a month earlier. Only the colors are different, but the dimensions are very slightly different. Well, the software, of course, is not identical.

There is also another close relative.But here we must first say a few words about batteries. Like the Realme GT Neo3, the newcomer OnePlus 10R will be sold with two different batteries. There is a version with a slightly smaller battery, 4500 mAh, but with a completely insane (record-breaking) 150 W charger (5 minutes to charge the smartphone for the first 50%). And there is a more trivial variation with a 5000mAh battery and 80W charging speed. (As for me, such fast charges are pure marketing, so I, please, have the version with a larger battery). So, the version with faster charging is a copy of another smartphone sold in China - OnePlus Ace.

To the characteristics.

The chipset is called MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max(formally, Neo3 has a slightly different chipset called MediaTek Dimensity 8100, but in fact I highly doubt that the difference can be seen with the naked eye and smelled with the naked nose). In AnTuTu, we expect around 800 thousand points, which, by modern standards, is the level of flagships.

About the rest of the characteristics.

Lots of memory. Operational 8 or 12 GB. Permanent memory - 128 or 256 GB. There is no support for memory cards.

The screen is solid. Large 6.7″ (108 cm²) AMOLED matrix, 1080×2412 standard high resolution (394 ppi), refresh rate up to 120 Hz.

Cameras. On the one hand, the set is quite simple.The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP, at the back there is a typical trio of 50 + 8 + 2 MP from the main module, wide-angle and macro. But the sensor of the main camera is an extremely solid Sony IMX766 with a 1/1.56″ matrix. Plus there is optical image stabilization.

There is an NFC module. The fingerprint scanner is built into the screen. There is no standard audio output. Of “our” LTE bands, like their counterparts, only Band 20 is missing.
