Announcement. Motorola Moto G Stylus (2022) - a smartphone with a stylus for the Far Abroad

The announcement of a smartphone took place in the Far AbroadMotorola Moto G Stylus (2022). A mid-range with a stylus, a creative evolution of last year's Motorola Moto G Stylus (2021). The dimensions are the same, but the filling was upgraded on all fronts.

Chipset now instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 678running MediaTek Helio G88. His performance, however, is not a fountain. The most you can hope for is 250 thousand points in AnTuTu. And even then it might turn out to be less. So here, perhaps, not an upgrade happened, but a downgrade ...

All is well with memory. The amount of RAM has grown from 4 to 6 GB. Permanent memory is still 128 GB. There is support for memory cards.

The screen has a diagonal of 6.8″, a resolution of 1080 × 2460 (395 ppi). The maximum refresh rate has grown from 60 to 90 Hz.

The battery has also grown, from 4000 mAh to 5000 mAh. But the charging speed remained the same, only 10 watts.

Cameras. The front has a resolution of 16 MP. Behind is a standard trio of 50 + 8 + 2 MP from the main module, wide-angle and depth sensor.

The sensor model of the main camera is not officiallycalled. But judging by the published pixel size, the smartphone uses Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (there are simply no other options, unless it's something exclusive, which is unlikely). Those. the most compact 50 MP sensor on the market. Those. the most humble. So we don't expect much from the camera.

There is no NFC module and support for 5G networks. There are Type-C, a standard audio output and a side fingerprint scanner.

And about the price. The Motorola Moto G Stylus (2022) will cost $299 at launch. For a unique model (and who else can you find a stylus for?), in my opinion, not so bad.
