Announcement. Moto G42 is a simple smartphone with an OLED screen and no 5G

Motorola has announced the Moto G42 smartphone. A simple modern device without support for 5G networks.

The new smartphone is very similar to the Moto G52 that went on sale this spring. Only the beginner is a little more compact, but his charging is somewhat slower.

The chipset is not the most powerful. Qualcomm Snapdragon 680. In AnTuTu I expect 200-250 thousand points. If you're lucky - a little more, but perhaps a little.

Memory. So far, only one variety is known to exist, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. But there may well be others.

The screen is OLED without an increased refresh rate. Diagonal 6.4″ (99 cm²). The resolution is high, 1080×2400 (411 ppi). (The Moto G52 has a 6.6″ screen - 105 cm²).

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. Slightly accelerated charging - 20 watts. (Moto G52 has faster charging, 30W).

The set of cameras is pretty simple.The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP. There are three rear cameras, 50 + 8 + 2 MP. Main, wide angle and macro. The wide-angle camera is also trained to work as a depth sensor.

There is a fingerprint scanner. Either it is combined with the power button, or it is located at the back, in a circle of the logo.

NFC module, dual-band Wi-Fi and Type-C are also available.

Moto G42 should be on sale in Brazil any day now. A little later, it is expected to appear in some countries of Europe, Asia, America ...

There is no information on the cost yet.
