In Japan, a very unusual by our standards smartphone called Kyocera Android One S9 has been announced. Let's start with the fact that this is Android One, which, as I thought, everyone has already scored for a long time. An no.

And this smartphone is antibacterial, antivirus and generally recommended by the best dog breeders by Japanese doctors. Like, 91% of the doctors surveyed strongly vote for.

Plus, traditionally for Japan, Kyocera Android OneS9 is absolutely not afraid of water (protection class IP68). And, not only is this protection class prescribed in the performance characteristics, the manufacturer directly recommends washing your smartphone with soap and wiping it with alcohol-containing wipes.

As a smartphone Kyocera Android One S9 is not very interesting. Pretty compact, quite modern, not particularly fancy.

Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 i.e. there is support for 5G networks, and in AnTuTu we are waiting for around three hundred thousand points. Not too much memory, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

The screen is small, 6.1″ (90 cm²). But the resolution is high - as much as 1080 × 2400 (431 ppi). Plus, you can work with the screen both with wet hands and gloved hands. But there is no increased refresh rate.

The battery is average, 4500 mAh.

Cameras. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP. There are two rear cameras, main and wide-angle. Their resolution is the same - 16 MP.

There is NFC support, there is Type-C and a fifth Wi-Fi. The fingerprint scanner is also available, the old-fashioned way is located at the back.

I did not find any official information about the cost. Japanese news sites are talking about 43,200 yen (₽39,500, $365) at the start of sales. Not cheap. But in Japan, smartphones are generally a bit pricey...
