Announcement. Infinix Hot 12i - modest smartphone (+ first African reviews)

Infinix has revealed to the world a humble smartphone called the Infinix Hot 12i. The device has already been seen for sale in Nigeria. But, apparently, it will appear in other countries.

The brand of the chipset is not officially reported.But the smartphone has already fallen into the hands of Nigerian bloggers. And according to them, the Hot 12i uses a very modest MediaTek Helio A22 chip. Only four cores. And you can’t even hope for a hundred thousand points in AnTuTu.

Memory.Apparently, permanent memory is always exactly 64 GB. RAM, like, from 2 to 4 GB. Although the older version in wildlife is not yet visible. The younger version definitely works on Android 11 Go Edition. Older ones, perhaps on a full version of Android (but this is inaccurate). Support for memory cards, of course, is.

The screen is modest and rather big. Diagonal 6.6″ (105 cm²). Resolution is only 720×1612 (267 ppi). Of course, there is no talk of increased refresh rates.

The battery is good, 5000 mAh. There is no fast charging.

Cameras. The front has a resolution of 8 MP.The main rear - 13 MP. In general, there are three rear cameras, but what the auxiliary ones are is not reported. Most likely, the traditional depth sensor and AI Lens.

From the sad - the ancient Micro-USB. From joyful - dual-band Wi-Fi. There is a fingerprint scanner located on the back of the device.

The prices that I now see on the store's website -these are ₦61,800 (₽12,500, $150) and ₦67,000 (₽13,500, $162) for the 2+64 and 3+64 GB versions, respectively. In the reviews, slightly different amounts are called, but the order plus or minus is the same. (₦ is the icon of the local currency, which is called naira).
