Huawei has updated its mega-smartphone for mega-money - presented by Huawei Mate Xs, the second folding tablet in the company's portfolio, wrapped in a folding screen.
The screen has not changed - it's still the same 8-inchOLED with a resolution of 2200 × 2480 (gives 414 pixels per inch), which when folding the device turns into two - 6.6 ″ and 6.38 ″. But the hinges have changed, so that the design is declared more reliable and durable due to the use of “liquid alloy based on zirconium”. Sounds convincing, agree.
Support for 5G networks has expanded. A newer chipset was used - the current top-end HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G. Improved cooling system.
The cameras remained the same - there was apparently nothing to improve here.
This is the main 40 MP with aperture f / 1.8, wide-angle 16 MP, 8 MP telephoto with optical stabilization and ToF-camera for calculating the depth of the scene. The same complex is used for shooting selfies - the screen allows on both sides.
Battery - 4500 mAh with a charge of 55 watts.
Huawei Mate Xs runs on EMUI 10 on the open source version of Android 10, but naturally has no Google services on board.
As before - insanely expensive. 2500 euros for version 8 + 512 GB at the start of sales.
