Announcement: Huawei Honor V20 - a smartphone that is slim

Huawei officially introduced the Honor V20 model in the Chinese market (also known as Honor View 20 - this name will be used in other markets where the smartphone has yet to come).

The second in the company's portfolio and the first forA specific sub-brand of the device that meets the new trend of cutting out holes in the screen is interesting not only by the method of opening the front camera. The smartphone as a whole turned out to be very curious with a lot of new chips, quite a decent flagship device.

Honor V20, though not the first, but still one ofVery few owners of the Kirin 980 chipset, HiSilicon, the most advanced solution currently available, created using 7-nanometer technology. There are two options for the capacity of RAM - 6 GB and 8 GB, and two - storage capacity - 128 GB and 256 GB. No memory card slot.

The screen is more or less standard for this class: 6.4 ″ with a resolution of 1080x2310 pixels, IPS matrix. The hole for the chamber has a diameter of 4.5 mm.

The front camera in addition to the location and high resolution - 25 MP - is not remarkable. Artificial intelligence, customizable portrait enhancement feature - it's all there.

Much more interesting is the main camera. It is “only” double, but it is composed of a Sony IMX586 photo module with a resolution of 48 MP and an aperture of f / 1.8 and a TOF camera, which is responsible for accurately measuring the distance to objects, thereby providing the function of determining the frame depth.

Extremely high resolution matrix allowsGet frames of extremely high detail, and its design features, due to which neighboring pixels can be combined into clusters of four, provide the ability to shoot in low light.

Artificial intelligence, the benefit of the new chipsetextremely richly equipped in this regard, including as many as two neuroprocessor-based NPU units, performs numerous functions to improve the quality of shooting. Of the completely new chips, the Honor V20 has a proprietary Link Turbo technology, which allows you to download data simultaneously over Wi-Fi networks and high-speed mobile 4G.

The smartphone has NFC support (even in Chineseversion). The prints scanner is classic, placed on the back panel. A set of sensors includes a compass and a gyroscope, but in general it is quite traditional. Headphone jack standard, 3.5 mm.

The back cover is steleannaya, metal frame. The colors this time were atypical, with a new type of iridescence. Particularly pleased with the black version with a rainbow. Protection against water and dust is not provided.

The start of sales in the Chinese market is scheduled for December 28. At first, apparently, there will be two modifications more modest, the eldest so far in the offers of the company's brand store is not visible.
