Independent company Honor announced in itsnative China, a smartphone with a beautiful laconic name Honor Play 5. Nice device. Powerful, with OLED screen, 5G support, NFC, super fast charging, but somehow without a gyroscope.

By a strange coincidence, it is an exact copy of today's Honor Play 5. Only the inscription on the case is different, but the set of colors is slightly different.

Briefly about the characteristics.

The chipset is not flagship, but powerful. MediaTek Dimensity 800U. In AnTuTu the ninth version is gaining under four hundred thousand points.

Very fast charging - 66W. A full charge takes only 35 minutes. From zero to 60% - 15 minutes in general. Battery capacity is typical average, 3800 mAh.

There is a lot of memory, 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of permanent. But at the same time, apparently, there is no support for memory cards.

OLED screen diagonal 6.53 ″ with high resolution 1080 × 2400 (403 ppi). With a teardrop notch for the front camera and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Nothing is said about the refresh rate, so there is clearly a standard 60 Hz.

Front camera 16 MP. Behind the standard quartet 64 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP (main module, wide-angle, macro, depth sensor). There is no mention of stabilization, no telephoto lens either, macro without autofocus. So the set can be considered quite simple.

Wi-Fi dual-band, modern USB. Everything is good here. What is bad, the smartphone is tailored exclusively to the requirements of the Chinese market, so there is no support for “our” 7 and 20 LTE bands.

The prices are quite humane. ¥ 2099 (₽24,100, $ 326) for the younger version 8 + 128 GB and ¥ 2099 (₽24,100, $ 326) for the 8 + 256 GB.
