Announcement. BMAX MaxPad I9 Plus - Chinese tablet chipset for set-top boxes

An inexpensive tablet called the BMAX MaxPad I9 Plus has appeared in Chinese online stores. A typical budget tablet, interesting only for its rare chipset - Rockchip RK3566.

The chipset is fresh, last year.As far as I could unearth, imprisoned for television set-top boxes. Plus, I met several times in e-books. It has never been in smartphones and, I suspect, will not be. Was in one tablet, in Alldocube iPlay 9T - announced in April, but I have not found a single review on it yet.

Rockchip RK3566 has only four cores, and the coresnot some - but Cortex-A55, i.e. energy saving. Devices in which there are four A55 cores are through the roof. But this is always the second group of cores used in addition to something more powerful. Here, all the work is exclusively on them. Performance? Hard to tell. But I will be very surprised if AnTuTu has more than a hundred thousand points. Theoretically, RK3566 is advertised as a chip capable of dragging either 8K or 4K@60fps video without any problems, but it is unlikely that anyone will watch something like that on the MaxPad I9 Plus, because the screen here is to hug and cry.

Well, yes. The screen is standard size, 10.1″ (296 cm²), but the resolution is extremely low, only 1280×800 (149 ppi). And, of course, there is no talk of any increased refresh rates either.

Memory is at a minimum. Only 3 GB of operational and 32 GB of permanent. There is support for memory cards.

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. The cameras are single, 2 MP in front and 5 MP in the back.

Wi-Fi is single-band, there is no support for mobile Internet. There is not even a GPS module. But there are two speakers.

The tablet has already appeared in a couple of well-known Chinese stores (one, two), but delivery to Russia is something to be seen. Prices start at $74.99 (₽4590) for the first fifty lucky ones.
