Android OS will receive a new file sharing system (5 photos)


Google Inc. is continuously improving the functionality of the Android operating system. It’s time to replace the Android Beam file sharing feature introduced in 2011 with Android 4.0.


New information exchange system betweendevices running Android and Chrome OS, tentatively named Fast Share. At the same time, experts noted that the new system will be similar to AirDrop for devices running iOS and macOS.

The new feature has already been tested on the smartphone Pixel 3 XL with the Android OS Q installed. When the innovation is available for other mobile devices, it is not reported.
