AMD presented new generation Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards based on the RDNA 2 architecture (2 videos)


AMD Officially Unveils New SeriesRadeon RX 6000 graphics cards, which use the latest technology to significantly accelerate the performance of gaming applications. The new AMD lineup is represented by three video cards Radeon RX 6900 XT, Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800, manufactured using 7 nm process technology on the RDNA 2 architecture. Similar processors will work in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S game consoles, until the release of which only a couple of weeks remain on the market.

The new series of RX 6000 series graphics cards will includesupported by DirectX 12 Ultimate API, hardware ray tracing and Microsoft Directx Storage technology, which reduces game load times. Infinity Cache will also be supported to reduce power consumption while increasing throughput.


Senior video card series Radeon RX 6900 XTPowered by the Navi 21 XTX GPU, which includes 26.7 billion transistors and 80 compute units. The processing power of the video card is 23.04 teraflops, the amount of GDDR6 memory is 16 GB, and the frequency is 2015 MHz in Game mode and 2250 MHz in Boost mode.

Radeon RX 6800 XT gets Navi processor21 XT with 72 compute units, 16GB of GDDR6 memory, and clocked at 2015 MHz in Game mode and 2250 MHz in Boost mode. The processing power of the RX 6800 XT video card is 20.74 teraflops.

The youngest model among those presented by AMDvideo cards - Radeon RX 6800 receives a Navi 21 XL processor, 64 computing units and operates at a frequency of 1815 MHz in Game mode and 2015 MHz in Boost mode. Computing power - 16.17 teraflops, GDDR6 memory - 16 GB.


The cooling system in video cards uses three fans. There are HDMI 2.1, Type-C and two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.
The first models to enter the market from November 18Radeon RX 6800 XT for $ 649 and Radeon RX 6800 for $ 579. The older model of the Radeon RX 6900 XT series will be on sale from December 8 at a price of $ 999.
