Amazon unveils the next generation of Amazon Fire HD 8 tablets

Amazon has unveiled the next generation of its Amazon Fire HD 8 tablets. Four tablet models are shown

- Fire HD 8, Fire HD 8 Plus, Fire HD 8 Kids Pro andFire HD 8 Kids. The Fire HD 8 model is equipped with an 8-inch screen and HD resolution. The tablet is capable of working up to 13 hours on a single charge, which uses the USB-C port, a full charge is completed in 5 hours from a 5W power adapter. The model will be available with 32 GB or 64 GB storage, and the tablet also has a microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 1 TB.

The Fire HD 8 Plus tablet offers more RAM with 3GB, 9W wireless charging, and a 5MP rear camera.

Fire HD 8 Kids and Kids Pro models ship withadvanced parental controls, for example, the ability to limit the time spent behind the tablet screen. Parental settings can be carried out both from the tablet itself, and remotely using the parent's personal account on the Amazon website. The tablets are available to order now for $100 for the Fire HD 8 version, $120 for the Fire HD 8 Plus, and $150 and $160 for kids' tablets.
