A smart, robotic billiard cue was created that hits without misses (video)

The creator of robotic automatica billiard cue that never misses when hitting is the acclaimed engineer and enthusiast Shane Whiton, host of the Stuff Made Here YouTube channel. He previously designed and demonstrated a win-win basketball hoop with ball tracking and a self-adjusting golf club.

Whiton's new invention will allow anyonefor a beginner, without preliminary training and many hours of sharpening a blow, compete with billiard masters. A robotic cue is capable of calculating all impact parameters in real time, taking into account the location of the balls, their mass, rotation speed and other data. As a result, the cue hits with 100% accuracy.

An LED is used in the design of the cue, servo linkage and pneumatic drive for perfect aiming and precise hitting. All parameters are calculated using the Arduino board integrated into the cue. According to the enthusiast, the creation of a smart, ultra-precise cue was a difficult task, on which he worked for a long time.
