A compact copy of the hydrogen car Toyota Mirai presented (2 photos + video)


Toyota introduced the originala commercial starring a replica of the hydrogen car Toyota Mirai. The 1:10 scale replica received a miniature hydrogen engine.

In August 2021, the Toyota Mirai becamethe world record holder for autonomous mileage, having driven 1,360 km without refueling using a 5.65 kg hydrogen fuel tank. The unique autonomous mileage was entered in the Guinness Book of Records. The compact model Toyota Mirai is presented by the British branch of the Japanese automaker and was created in collaboration with the British company Bramble Energy (developed a miniature power plant) and the Japanese company Tamiya, known for its radio-controlled cars (provided the chassis for the model).


Standard RC Car Modelsusually work on their own batteries for up to 20 minutes. The use of a hydrogen power plant in the Toyota Mirai model has doubled the battery life. Two hydrogen tanks are located in the model on either side of the PCB.


The all-wheel drive Toyota Mirai model works onbased on the TT-02 4WD Tamiya chassis in 1:10 scale. The power of the power plant was 20 watts. The body, specially made for the Toyota Mirai replica, is painted in Scarlet Flare Red, which is the color used on Toyota's full-size cars.

Toyota said there were no plans to sell the miniature Mirai and the copy was used for promotional purposes only.
