Scientists have created a smart watch battery that charges in 30 seconds from the sun

A group of scientists from the University of Surrey have developed a very interesting technology. Their renewable and rechargeable battery is capable of making a breakthrough in the field of wearable gadgets.

It's about a specialistphotorechargeable system with perovskite solar cells. It is reported that thanks to a special technology of combining parts, the system exhibits a high energy and volume density comparable to modern microbatteries and supercapacitors.

At the same time, it is reported that in just 30 seconds in sunlight, such batteries are able to charge enough to increase the battery life of “smart” devices by tens of minutes.

According to scientists, the technology they have developed will be useful in creating wearable gadgets that work without recharging for a long time.
