Planet Parade July 4, 2020: what you need to know?

If you think the world around is not enoughcrazy, let me reassure you: our affairs are so bad that Runet’s news is full of opinions of “experts” about the dangers of an upcoming astrological event. Yes, astrological, I was not mistaken. It turns out that on July 4, 2020 a full parade of planets will take place - the event is so terrible that it will be watched almost in the Kremlin. On the Internet, there is even information that lined up in a row the planets of the solar system will kill all people (though it is not known how exactly). Since extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, let's figure out what this mysterious “full parade of planets” is and what scientists think about it.

July 2020 is rich in astronomical events. Is it any wonder that astrologers want to make money on this?

What is a planet parade?

Before you plunge into astrologicalforecasts, let's see what a planet parade is. To begin with, astronomers, scientists specializing in astronomy - science of the universethat studies location, movement, structure, origin and development of celestial bodies and systems. All our knowledge of outer space and stars, which can be seen with the naked eye, was obtained thanks to the work of the great astronomers of the past and present.

Since the planets in our solar systemrevolve around the Sun, the shape of their orbits is elliptical and slightly inclined relative to each other. From the point of view of the inhabitants of the Earth, other planets seem to wander in the sky. That is why the first astronomers called the planets "wandering stars" - they moved through the night sky much faster than "motionless" stars. Of course, to the untrained layman these “wandering stars” may seem to be tiny, barely distinguishable reflections of light, but in reality they are planets of our solar system. Sometimes it may seem that they occupy the same place in the night sky. This is due to their apparent alignment, although in fact planets are millions of kilometers apart.

Parade of planets Is an astronomical phenomenon in whichsome planets of the solar system appear on one side of the sun in a small sector. Moreover, they are more or less close to each other on the celestial sphere (an imaginary sphere of arbitrary radius on which celestial bodies are projected and which is used in astronomical calculations).

The solar system and all its celestial bodies

Speaking about this astronomical phenomenon it is necessarynote that in astronomy there is no such thing as a “parade of planets." As a rule, under the alignment or parade of planets, scientists mean that for an observer from Earth, the planets will be in one part of the sky. However, in some cases, the location of the planetsmay resemble a straight line, but this rarely happens and occurs with the participation of two or three planets (with two or three). So, on June 8, the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn staged an amazing space show: the Moon and two gas giants were visible to the naked eye. By the way, the proximity of Jupiter and Saturn can be observed until the end of 2020.

What will happen on July 4th?

According to astronomers, July 4 shouldtake place a unique heavenly phenomenon - a complete parade of planets. This means that all the planets of the solar system - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and even the dwarf planet Pluto - will line up on one side of the Sun. It is noteworthy that the previous similar parade of celestial bodies took place in 1982, and the next, as expected, will appear no earlier than 2161. So we are incredibly lucky! However, in order to know the exact time aligning the planets in your region, we recommend installing one or more astronomical applications - fortunately, there are plenty of them today.

But the rare parade of all the planets of the solar system -not the only event that will happen on July 4th. So, according to timeanddate.com, on the night of July 4, 2020, a lunar eclipse will occur with visibility in North America, South America and Africa. This will be an unusual lunar eclipse - it occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon are not fully aligned and create a shadow on the surface of the Moon. The eclipse will begin on July 4 at 23:07 Eastern time and will last until 1:52 in the morning. According to forecasts, the eclipse will reach its peak at about 12:29 in the morning, when the sky will be the darkest. So if you find yourself in New York that day, you will be guaranteed a front row seat.

It looked like a parade of planets on the night of February 16-17, 2020. Beauty!

Why are astrologers wrong?

Right now, while you are reading this article, the rings of Saturn are gleaming in the sun, and on Jupiter another storm is planned and it does not affect your life in any way. The fact is that all the stars and planets inthe observable universe exists regardless of you and me. Sooner or later, we will disappear, but billions of stars and galaxies will remain. In general, the very idea that huge celestial bodies rotate to indicate to you the perfect day for cutting hair or making a profitable deal is absurd. If I were a planet, I would definitely be offended by such a confidence of mankind in its own significance.

If you still doubt that astrology- the real pseudoscience, about which my colleague Daria Yeletskaya spoke in detail - ask a friend of the astrologer to explain to you what laws of physics make planets influence specifically on you and how they generally do it. You must admit that it will be very interesting to know what forces force, for example, Mercury to send rays of good to you, because almost 8 billion people live on Earth! It is terrible to think about the moral dilemmas that planets and stars have to solve if you and several thousand more were born on the same day and at the same time.

As for the talk about the next comingapocalypse, instead of being afraid of Mars, Venus, Neptune and all 86 moons of Jupiter, just remember that all of 2020 is rich in interesting astronomical events, and we will be happy to tell you about them. Upcoming Astronomical Events

Meanwhile, in July, the two largest planetsThe solar system will literally shine. According to AccuWeather, Jupiter and Saturn have reached their maximum brightness throughout the year. This means that we will have the opportunity to see these planets as close as never before. It is noteworthy that Jupiter will reach a peak of brightness on July 14, 2020, and Saturn on July 20, 2020. Although it is recommended to use a telescope to observe this phenomenon, if you do not have it, you should not be upset - you should still be able to see planets, since they will shine much brighter than stars.
