Moscow metro passes will appear in Apple, Google Pay and Samsung Pay wallets

The coronavirus pandemic has led to an intensificationthe process of switching to a contactless method of payment for various purchases and services. The Troika rechargeable transport card, introduced back in 2013 in the city transport system of Moscow, turned out to be very useful for meeting the requirements for social distancing.

Department of Transport of the Russian Capitalcontinues to expand the capabilities of Troika and announced through his channel in Telegram about the future appearance of the card in virtual wallets of Apple smartphones, which will allow using it without going to terminals and cash registers.

Currently, to top up your card account"Troika", its owner must make a contactless payment through a special terminal. However, a new service for Apple Pay will save users from crowding around terminals. It is noteworthy that such a service, initiated by the Moscow Department of Transport, is one of the first in the world.

Further expansion of the possibilities of working with the Troika card will allow citizens to make payments from smartphones running under Android through the Google Pay and Samsung Pay wallets.

The developers have completed the testing phase and are ready to launch the first real tests in December, which will involve a limited number of passengers on the Moscow metro.
