Concept of serial electric crossover Honda presented (3 photos + video)


Honda plans for production developmentelectric vehicles showcased at Beijing Auto China 2020, where the company unveiled the Honda SUV e: concept electric crossover. Representatives of the company said that the shown concept is a prototype of a future production electric car aimed at the Chinese market.


Honda SUV e Concept:concept received an unusual design with a unique aerodynamic silhouette, very high ground clearance, small glass area, frameless doors and protective plastic body kits around the body. High aerodynamic characteristics, as conceived by the designers, will also be ensured by the complete absence of protruding parts such as mirrors, door handles or wipers.


Currently, the company does not provide specifictechnical characteristics of the future electric vehicle. During the presentation, the main focus was on the electronic "stuffing" of the car, such as the ADAS semi-autonomous driving system, which is able to assess the car's environment. Also supported are the Honda Sensing Active Safety System and the Honda Connect infotainment system.


As early as next 2021, Honda plans to starttest tests of serial models based on the Honda SUV e: concept. Over the next two years, the production lines of the GAC-Honda joint venture will begin mass production of an electric crossover for the Chinese market.
