Microsoft officially launchespre-ordering a smartphone with two Surface Duo screens, reveals the technical specifications and publishes the final price of the device, which will be a hefty $ 1,399. Retail sales of the Android smartphone will begin on September 10th.
For the first time about the intention to release a smartphone with twoscreens on a 360-degree swivel joint, was announced ten months ago. In the final version of the device, Microsoft does not deviate from the original technical parameters and equips the hardware of the Surface Duo with the Snapdragon 855 processor. The amount of RAM will be 6 GB, and the storage space will be 256 GB. The smartphone supports 4G / LTE networks, but there is no 5G module.
Surface Duo comes with twoAMOLED screens (PixelSense Fusion Displays) with the same resolution of 1800x1350, the same diagonals of 5.6 inches and an aspect ratio of 4: 3. In the unfolded position, the smartphone has a total diagonal of 8.1 inches, a resolution of 2700x1800 and an aspect ratio of 3: 2.
The device gets one camera (f / 2.0) with a resolution of 11 megapixels and the ability to shoot 4K video at 60 fps. Autonomous work is supported by two 3577 mAh batteries, one for each screen. The device is running Android10. Thickness unfolded - 4.8 mm, folded - 9.6 mm. Supports 18W fast charging technology.
Sales are slated for September 10, priced at $ 1,399, complete with a protective bumper.
