GPD WIN Max 2 laptop set-top box re-released with new AMD chips (video)

GPD has released an updated version of itsWIN Max 2 is an unusual gaming device. In the 2023 edition, this hybrid laptop and portable set-top box received new AMD Ryzen 7000-series processors. The network already has a demonstration of the capabilities of the gadget.

Visually, GPD WIN Max 2 (2023) is nothingdifferent from last year's model. This is still the same compact laptop with a 10.1-inch screen and classic handheld consoles and gamepad controls on the body, including sticks, a D-pad and even triggers.

The main change was the use of newAMD Ryzen 5 7640U and Ryzen 7 7840U processors. The gadget is also equipped with 16 to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a 1 or 2 TB SSD. The display resolution is 1920x1200 pixels with the ability to upscale up to 2560x1600 pixels, and the maximum brightness is 400 nits. Among other things, it is worth noting a 67 Wh battery, four speakers, a USB 4 port and the ability to connect an external video card.

Judging by the videos available on the network, the device withoutruns Forza Horizon 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and other modern games at stable 60+ fps.

Currently GPD WIN Max 2 (2023)offered through crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The most affordable option with Ryzen 5 7640U, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD costs $799, while the modification with Ryzen 7 7840U, 32 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD will cost $1049.
