Apple offers an original add-onto branded smart watches Apple Watch in the form of a Wristcam module with two cameras. Self-contained wrist camcorders will be located in an independent module mounted on a special strap for Apple Watch. Apple fans can already pre-order the Wristcam modular cameras online, with actual shipments starting in January.
The Wristcam camera module weighs 23 grams, andtogether with the strap, the total weight of the device is 35 grams. Taking photos and videos can be carried out directly from the user's wrist. Two cameras are equipped with Sony sensors (8 megapixel main camera and 2 megapixel front camera). 1080p HD video, 3840 × 2160 high resolution stills, and video streaming are available.
Autonomous work is provided by its ownbattery, rechargeable using the supplied magnetic charger and USB cable. One battery charge is enough for 24 hours of operation. The water resistance of the camera module has been tested when immersed to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Wristcam comes with its own 8GB photo and video storage. The filmed content can be viewed directly on the Apple Watch screen
The camera module is estimated by Apple at 300dollars and is sold in 4 versions for Apple Watch 38/40 and 42/44 mm. Supports work with Apple Watch of all six series. Wristcam is compatible with smartphone lines from iPhone 6 to iPhone 12.
