On sale. Oukitel WP7 ultraviolet smartphone to combat COVID-19

Just yesterday wrote about the preliminary announcementmiracle smartphone Oukitel WP7, and today it has already appeared in the Oukitel brand store on Aliexpress. Those. the announcement was still not there, but the characteristics in all the details are already there. Good. We continue to gear up.

  • Announcement of the announcement of the “anticoronavirus” ultraviolet smartphone Oukitel WP7

The most interesting feature of WP7 is, of course,plug-in module to combat the evil coronavirus. Special ultraviolet flashlight (wavelength 260-280 nm). Oukitel claims that just a couple of seconds to shine on the elevator button, door handle or even a mask - that’s it, 99.99% of the viruses and bacteria that live there die. Honestly, it sounds too good to be true. And if this is true, then what about security? If all bacteria-viruses die from this ultraviolet so quickly, then what will happen if it is accidentally exposed to someone’s eye?

I was very pleased with the ultraviolet advertising picture. Three people are sitting on the seashore and disinfecting two glasses of wine ... No gloves, no masks, no two-meter distance ... Nightmare!

The second interesting feature of Oukitel WP7 is“Infrared night vision camera” with a resolution of 8 MP. This is no longer a separate module, it is just a regular camera of this smartphone. In general, there are three cameras, but about the other two (48 and 2 MP), as well as about the front camera (16 MP), there is nothing special to say. Actually, you can’t say anything really about the infrared camera either. Did they mean a thermal imager? Or something different? Duc thermal imager of such permission - it will cost like an airplane ... There is an official picture, but it doesn’t clarify anything at all.

Further, everything is also cool, but not so exciting anymore. There is protection against dust and moisture according to IP68. Compliance is declared to the MIL-STD-810G standard (solar radiation, low pressure, acidity, extreme temperatures, etc.).

Processor Confirmed. This is really a MediaTek Helio P90. Not the freshest (2018), but rather smart, two hundred thousand points in AnTuTu is easy to gain.

8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory - just gorgeous. Pleasure will not spoil even a hybrid card slot.

The screen is large (6.53 ″), with a fashionable hole for the front camera. The resolution is high - 1080 × 2340 (395 ppi).

The battery is huge, as much as 8000 mAh. Probably, an ultraviolet flashlight consumes a lot of energy. There is a quick charge of 18 watts.

Of the other goodies, it is worth noting the NFC-module, the modern USB Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, fingerprint scanner, support for all of our LTE bands.

Minor troubles. There is no normal audio output. Weight not specified. Intuition tells us that it will be rather big, especially if you weigh it with the connected external module.

Price. At the time of this writing, in the Oukitel brand store for WP7 they want $ 449.99 (₽33200). Replaceable modules, of course, have to be purchased separately. How much brocade is not yet clear.
