I will immediately disappoint. The Vivo V20 Pro smartphone presented in Thailand is nothing new. This is almost an exact copy of the Vivo S7 smartphone, which was announced for the Chinese market at the very beginning of August this year.

The difference between Vivo V20 Pro and Vivo S7 is minimal. Various frequencies supported. The S7 also has an NFC module, which the V20 Pro apparently does not have. At least not on Vivo's website. However, it cannot be ruled out that NFC may be added in other countries.

Let's briefly go through the characteristics.

Iron is not top-end, but decent. Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, which I once called “pre-flagship”. 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 128 GB of UFS2.1 permanent memory (the Chinese Vivo S7 also has a 256 GB version). There is no memory card support.

Large 6.44 ″ AMOLED screen. The resolution is high, 1080 × 2400 (409 ppi). There is no increased refresh rate, only the standard 60 Hz. At the top, there is a large cutout for a dual front camera. Looks unusual, like the fashion of previous generations.

Medium battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh, moderately fast fast charging - 33 W.

Curious front camera. 44 MP main module (with autofocus) and 8 MP wide-angle.

The main camera is triple. 64 + 8 + 2 MP. Main module, wide-angle (combined with macro) and traditional depth sensor. The first two cameras have autofocus.

Price. 14,999 Thai baht at the start of sales - approximately ₽36500 ($ 486). Something a little expensive. Vivo S7 can be safely bought on AliExpress for only $ 389 (₽30,000).
