Announcement. Vivo iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro - do you set a record for parrots?

Finishing up with yesterday's announcement from Vivo. Meet a couple of smartphones -
Vivo iQOO Neo 8 and
Vivo iQOO Neo 8 Pro. Identical screens and batteries. Otherwise, there are nuances.

Let's start, as usual, with iron.

The iQOO Neo 8 uses last year's well-known flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Nothing interesting.

But in iQOO Neo 8 Pro we have a debut. And the debut of the curious. The first appearance in nature of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Who it? An easy update of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset announced six months ago. Of the differences visible to the naked eye, there is only an increased frequency of the processor cores. In particular, the top-core Cortex-X3 can now be overclocked to 3.35 GHz. They say that they also worked on the GPU. They promise an increase in its productivity by 17%.

Looking forward to breaking records in AnTuTu and other parrot tests? The highest Dimensity 9200 result I've seen was 1264337 parrots. What will his older brother show? ..

There is a lot of memory. 12-16 GB operational, 256-512 GB permanent. (Support for memory cards is not mentioned).
The firmware has faster and more modern memory - LPDDR5X / UFS 4.0 versus LPDDR5 / UFS 3.1 for the younger model.

AMOLED screens, moreover, able to accelerate to 144 Hz. Diagonal 6.78 ″ (111 cm²), obscenely high resolution 1260 × 2800 (453 ppi).

Batteries are standard, 5000 mAh. Wired charging is fast - 120 watts. There are no wireless chargers.

The front cameras are most likely identical. 16 MP and no frills.

There are few rear cameras, two each. 50+2 MP for iQOO Neo 8 and 50+8 MP for iQOO Neo 8 Pro. The second cameras are the depth and width sensors, respectively.

The main cameras have optical stabilization.

I did not find the official mention of the brands of sensors. But the news reports that iQOO Neo 8 uses Samsung ISOCELL GN5 (1/1.57″), while iQOO Neo 8 Pro uses a slightly larger Sony IMX866V (1/1.49″). So there are good chances for decent photos. Although photo flagships, of course, do not smell here.

Other. Of course, there are NFC modules. Suddenly there are IR blasters. Of course, fingerprint scanners live under the screens. “Proshka” (thanks to the chipset) supports Wi-Fi 7.

There are no standard audio outputs. Of “our” LTE bands, only Band 20 is not supported. “Seven” is present.

Chinese prices do not look terrible.

For iQOO Neo 8 they ask for ¥2499 (₽28400, $354), ¥2799 (₽31800, $396) and ¥3099 (₽35200, $439) for versions 12+256, 12+512 and 16+512 GB respectively.

iQOO Neo 8 Pro, of course, is more expensive - ¥3299 (₽37400, $467) and ¥3599 (₽40900, $510) for the 16+256 and 16+512 GB versions. Not so expensive for a potential record holder.
