Announcement. OPPO A2 Pro – a mid-range smartphone with a “four-year” battery

OPPO introduced the OPPO A2 Pro smartphone in China.

In terms of its characteristics, the new product is very similar to Realme 11 Pro, but has a more modest set of cameras.

The manufacturer calls a “four-year” battery as a top feature - they say that by the end of this period its capacity will be at least 80% of the original one. And if he doesn’t, he’s ready to eat his hat.

They also say that they have seriously worked on impact resistance. Like, a special design, as a result of which the risk of damage to the device due to falls is seriously reduced.

To the characteristics.

MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. In AnTuTu we expect 500-600 thousand points. If you're lucky, even a little more.

Memory. 8 or 12 GB RAM, 256 or 512 GB permanent. Memory cards are not supported.

Rounded AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7″ (108 cm²). High resolution, 394 ppi (1080×2412). The refresh rate is also respectable – up to 120 Hz.

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. Charging is fast, although not a record – 67 W.

The set of cameras is simple. 8 MP front, 64+2 MP rear. There is no information about the sensor used in the camera. (Realme 11 Pro has 16 MP front, 100+2 MP rear).

The fingerprint scanner is hidden under the screen. The NFC module is not mentioned. Looks like he's not here. There is no support for the LTE bands we are interested in.

At the start of sales, OPPO A2 Pro will cost ¥1,799 (₽23,900, $247), ¥1,999 (₽26,500, $274) and ¥2,399 (₽31,800, $329) for versions 8+256, 12+256 and 12+512 GB, respectively.
