Announcement. Infinix Note 30 and Infinix Note 30 5G are classic mid-range smartphones

Infinix announced yesterday a trio of mid-range smartphones, the Note 30 series.

  • Actually Infinix Note 30 (aka Infinix Note 30 4G).
  • The Infinix Note 30 5G, which is very similar to it, has a better main camera, formally a different chipset.
  • Formally, the senior in the Infinix Note 30 Pro series - the screen has become AMOLED, wired charging is faster, wireless charging has appeared. But there is no support for 5G networks.

This news is about the first two devices. Read about the “bug” in a separate piece of news, it is still very different.

Infinix Note 30 4G

Let's start with chipsets. Moreover, in the Infinix Note 30 5G, we suddenly have an iron debut. The new chipset is called Mediatek Dimensity 6080. According to its characteristics, it duplicates the well-known MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset of 2021, but, unlike it, it can be friends with higher resolution cameras - up to 108 MP. In AnTuTu we expect 350-400 thousand points.

And in Infinix Note 30 4G is used perfectly by usfamous MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It is almost identical to the aforementioned couple of chips. But only the frequency of the cores is a little lower. Well, support for 5G networks, of course, is bitten off. We expect about the same number of points in AnTuTu. Or just a bit less.

(Infinix Note 30 Pro, by the way, also uses Helio G99).

Memory. The younger smartphone will be available in two versions, 8 + 128 and 8 + 256 GB. For Note 30 5G, the 4 + 128 GB variety is suddenly additionally announced. Support for memory cards is available.

Screens with LTPS matrices. Rather big - 6.78″ (109 cm²). The resolution is high, 1080×2460 (396 ppi). The refresh rate is up to 120 Hz.

Batteries plus or minus standard. Capacity - 5000 mAh. Charging is average in speed - 45 watts.

Camera sets are similar. Only the main camera is different.

16 MP front, 64 or 108 MP rear. Plus a couple of auxiliary cameras - 2 MP and AI Lens. The main camera sensors are OmniVision OV64B (1/2″) and Samsung ISOCELL HM6 (1/1.67″), respectively.

Other. There are NFC modules, side fingerprint scanners, dual-band Wi-Fi, Type-C, gyroscopes. There is reliable for good sound - dual speakers from JBL.

How much new smartphones will cost is still unclear. But hardly too expensive.
